ABOUT THE CAST | | |
MICHELLE DEFRANCESCO (Anita) is enjoying
her second appearance on our stage. She played Libby Tucker in I Ought To
Be In Pictures last season and it won her an Aubrey award. She is
extremely excited to be back working with a wonderful group of people at SRT.
Michelle has been actively involved in theater since she was about eight
years old attending theater schools and performing in plays throughout
elementary and high school. She also majored in theater at York University
in Toronto, where she is from. Over the years she has played lead roles in
numerous productions in the Toronto area. Some of her favorites include Jill
in Butterflies Are Free, Mary in How The Other Half Loves, and
Frenchie in Grease. She moved to San Diego just over a year ago and
lives in Carmel Valley with her husband Nat and children Louie and Julia. In
her free time she enjoys – wait, she doesn’t have any free time! She does,
however, always make time for a nightly game of chess with her six-year-old
son and the smarty pants never lets her win. | | | | |
JULIANNE EGGOLD (Nurse) is a graduate of
the Stella Adler Acting Conservatory in New York and has appeared in
Off-Off Broadway, regional theater, and currently in San Diego. Her roles in
theater include Rosalind in As You Like It, Julia in A Delicate
Balance, and to round out her career – Mrs. Fuzziwig in A Christmas
Carol in the 4th grade. Her film and television credits
include a national commercial for Sega Video Games, bigger parts in smaller
films and smaller parts in bigger films. She is considering leaving her
acting career to launch into the medical profession as a full time bitchy
nurse, as she has enjoyed this experience so much. She is very grateful to
be making her first appearance at SRT and has thoroughly enjoyed all of the
wonderful people involved with this play. A big thank-you to Julianne’s
friends, sister Joelle, and line feeder Eric for their awesome support. Love
you guys! | | | | |
DAVE RETHORET (Ravenswaal)
is appearing in his third role at
SRT. Audiences may remember him as Gustave Kummer in The Deadly Game
and as Johnnie in Bermuda Avenue Triangle for which he won the A.C.T.
Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor awards respectively. He has also
directed the very successful The Fantasticks in 1997,
Chorus Line in 1999 and I Ought To Be In Pictures last year for
which Michelle (Anita in this production) won the A.C.T. Best Female Lead in
a comedy. Dave has been involved in over seventy theatrical productions in
the San Diego area and elsewhere as actor, director or both. His credits
include prominent roles at the Globe, Fiesta Dinner Theatre, Poway Center
for the Performing Arts, North Coast Repertory Theatre, North County
Community Theatre, Patio Playhouse, Marquis Public Theatre and Actors
Quarter. He has received six ‘Best Actor’ awards, five ‘Best Director’
awards and numerous minor role awards. Dave is retired from the aerospace
field and lives in LaMesa with his wife, Peggy, a San Diego City fire
captain and paramedic. Both are on SRT’s board of directors.

BRENNAN TAYLOR (Dominic) is enjoying his
first appearance at SRT. He is a recent grad of USD where he was seen in
At Home, Three Penny Opera and An Actor’s Nightmare. He
hails from Portland and is accomplished guitar player. Brennan loves to
travel, but SRT hopes he appears here again soon, before he hits the road!
