ABOUT THE CAST  | David Ainsworth David Ainsworth is very happy to be working with such a talented cast and hopes you enjoy this wonderful show! This is Dave’s first time as Assistant Director (AD) and he would like to thank SRT and especially Raylene for the great opportunity. Regional theatre performance credits include: Fiddler on the Roof, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (both at San Diego Civic Light Opera), and recently cast in Damn Yankees for the summer 2004 season. Community Theatre credits include: Once Upon A Mattress, How to Succeed Without Really Trying (Both at SRT), Lend Me A Tenor, and Sabrina Fair. Dave received his theatre training at the University of San Diego, where he had the chance to study in Oxford, England to learn the art of playwriting. Writing credits include a full-length play in verse, titled Sulla and a one-act play, titled The Home Office. Many thanks to friends and family and especially his wife Marlene (bisous). |  | Karin* Reed Bamesberger Karin* is pleased to be returning to SRT, having last performed here in A Perfect Wedding. Prior to relocating to San Diego she performed in many professional shows and tours throughout New Jersey and New York. Some favorite roles include Martha in The Secret Garden, Princess Jasmine in the national tour of Aladdin, and young Lizzie in Lizzie Borden, starring Alison Fraser. She would like to thank her family (cats included), friends, and coworkers for their endless love and support. She dedicates this performance to Mary Rose*, the brightest star in the sky. |  | Becky Biegelsen Becky has performed professionally in New York and across the country, with credits including the European tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as regional productions of Once Upon A Mattress; A Day In Hollywood/A Night In The Ukraine; The Gift Of The Magi; Godspell; Cinderella; The Pajama Game; The Mikado; and No, No, Nanette; among many others. She has also sung in various a cappella groups, such as the San Diego-based Mosaic and the Boston-based Copley Cats. She is a graduate of Carleton College and the American Musical & Dramatic Academy |  | Teri Brown Scripps Ranch audiences may recognize Teri from previous appearances at SRT in How to Succeed... (Miss Jones), Rumors (Chris), Ravenscroft (Dolly), and Fatal Attraction (Doris). Teri most recently played against type as sexpot Ilona Ritter in the musical She Loves Me at Lamplighters Theatre. Favorite roles include: The Laramie Project (Ensemble), Crimes of the Heart (Babe), Not Now Darling (Tippers), and Joined at the Head (Maggy). A six-time Aubrey Award winner, Teri is most proud of her recognition as the 2003 Fritz Blitz Best Supporting Actor-Female for her role as the obsessively neurotic Joanne in Peaches en Regalia. |  | Chrissy Burns Chrissy has been performing for more than 20 years & is a graduate of PCPA Theatrefest. She has performed in numerous productions in San Diego and elsewhere, including Chess (La Jolla Stage Co.), The Vagina Monologues (V-Day/Cygnet), You Should Be So Lucky (OnStage), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Starlight), The 10th Annual Fritz Blitz (Lyceum), Sentimental Journey (USO style tour) and many more. She is a member of the La Jolla Stage Company’s Artist in Residence Guild, and Actors Alliance of San Diego. By day Chrissy does fashion show production for Gretchen Productions. She thanks those who love her for helping her on her journey to become who she is to be. |  | Jessica Rae Butler Jessica is a professional member of the Actors Alliance of San Diego and is pursuing her degree studies in music, voice, and theatre. She is thrilled to make her debut with SRT in her second production of Side By Side By Sondheim. Off stage she can be found saving and changing lives as a lifeguard and aquatics instructor at the La Jolla YMCA. Inexpressible gratitude to God for the many blessings in her life and to friends and family for their unwavering love and support. Kteer tabaneh! |  | Brett Daniels Brett is honored to be appearing in his second show here at Scripps Ranch Theatre. He was just seen as the Wizard in Once Upon A Mattress. His previous credits include Sweet Charity at Moonlight, Working at Patio Playhouse and Porn Yesterday at The Fritz Blitz. While living in Chicago, he played Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, and Che in Evita. Brett is a Realtor by day. He would like to thank his family and friends who support him in his pursuits (and even those who don't). It's A Good Life! |  | Bob Himlin Bob is happy to return to SRT and be a part of this talented cast, having received SRT and Aubrey awards for his portrayal of Bud Frump in 2002's How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Last year, Bob played the Padre in Patio Playhouse's Man of La Mancha. Other favorite Aubrey-nominated roles include Starbuck in 110 in the Shade, The Minstrel in Once Upon a Mattress, and Martin Klemmer in Legends. Off stage, Bob has two beautiful children; works as a software engineer at ViaSat, and can occasionally be seen working his way up from the bottom of the pack at local bicycle racing events. |  | Anthony Longoria Side By Side by Sondheim is Anthony’s first production with SRT. Most recently, he appeared in San Diego Opera's Turandot and Don Carlo with the San Diego Opera Chorus. He is a graduate of the Southwest Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts and has studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and UC Irvine. He is a proud member of the Actors Alliance of San Diego. |  | Rebecca Suebert Rebecca is excited to debut with SRT. She studies at Grossmont College and plans to pursue a career on the stage. She works crew on The House, a local cable access comedy show. Credits include: Let's Do It and The Love Songs of Cole Porter for Oceanside Light Opera; 1940's Radio Hour for Lamplighter's Theatre; Ain't Misbehavin for Phillips Entertainment; Fiametta, The Gondoliers, The Gypsy Princess for the Lyric Opera of San Diego and SDSU Opera Theatre. Come wintertime, she's a Victorian caroler. Rebecca has won a number of awards for her talents. Love to her teachers, family, and friends, MG and TM! |  | Stewart Simon Stewart graduated from the University of Kansas in 1986. He holds a Masters Degree in Piano and has resided in San Diego since 1986 as well and is very active as a teacher and accompanist. This is his debut with SRT. Mr. Simon has a beautiful wife with two equally adorable children. |
Top of Page ABOUT THE PRODUCTION TEAM  | Chrissy Burns (Choreographer) Chrissy Burns - is thrilled to be the choreographer for this fantastic production. She has choreographed numerous shows including: Annie (La Jolla Stage Co.), She Loves Me (Lamplighters), Big River (CYC Theatre at the Lyceum), Lady Be Good, Gershwin for You, Kiss Me Kate (Youth Summerstock), The Boyfriend (GHHS), The Sound of Music (Fort Salem Theatre), Guys and Dolls (Monte Vista HS), Dance Through the Ages (API) and Dames at Sea, for which she won the 2002 Aubrey Award for best choreography. Chrissy is the Associate Choreographer for California Youth Conservatory. A member of the La Jolla Stage Company's Artist in Residence Guild and Actors Alliance of San Diego, Chrissy also runs Dancemania Studio in Spring Valley (www.dancemaniastudio.com) and does fashion show choreography for Gretchen Productions. Please join her for her upcoming choreography projects, which include Music Across America and Working The Musical for Youth Summerstock Theatre. Dance is life at its most glorious moment! |  | Rick Carlson (Construction Manager) Rick has worked on the sets for every SRT production in the past four years. He has designed some and helped out with others. He enjoys building sets, but his true reward comes when the actors bring a set to life. He has had the pleasure of working with many talented actors and directors. Rick has been a Police Officer for 35 years. His talents include painting and he has a book that will be published this summer. In 2002 he received Aubrey Awards for Set Design for Lend Me A Tenor and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. | | | Scott Padrick (Lighting Designer) Scott is pleased to be designing his first show for the SRT. An active local designer, Scott has design credits with many corporate, theatrical and religious organizations all over the United States. He recently moved from Los Angeles where he finished a five-year engagement with the Walt Disney Company and is currently employed with Pacific Event Services in San Diego, where he brings a bit of the theater to many unusual places. When Scott is not making magic with lights, he enjoys gourmet cooking, backcountry excursions and water sports. | | | Cindy Cetinske (Costume Designer) Cindy is returning for her third production at SRT. She was the Costume Designer for Killjoy and Wrong Turn At Lungfish. She received her MFA from SDSU in Costume Design and has designed for the former San Diego Gilbert and Sullivan Company including shows such as The Mikado, HSM Pinafore, and Pirates of Penzance. Her designs for Yeomen of the Guard were nominated for a Costume Design award by the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle. She has also designed for The National Theatre for Children and the Lawrence Welk Dinner Theatre. She enjoys hiking and traveling. |  | Cornell Ellison (Stage Manager) Cornell is excited to continue her relationship with SRT, backstage this time. (She was recently on stage as Lady Noxema in Once Upon a Mattress.) Cornell can now say she has been involved in every aspect of theatre since her directorial debut at Patio Playhouse this last season with Ramshackle Inn. She was the Stage Manager for Cerritos College Children’s Theatre Touring Company for 13 years as well as assistant choreographer, seamstress for costumes, purveyor of props, and occasionally ending up on stage. Some of her favorite adventures in the theatre were Guys and Dolls, Alice in Wonderland, The Robber Bridegroom, and three different versions of A Christmas Carol. A bio wouldn’t be complete without thanking my extraordinary husband, Mike, and the most supportive family in community theatre. |  | Raylene J. Wall (Producer) Side By Side By Sondheim…is Raylene’s first time producing a show for Scripps Ranch Theatre, but she is better known at SRT for her directing and set design. Some of her previous shows at SRT include the previous hit musical Once Upon A Mattress and 2002’s Aubrey-winning musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, as well as other SRT hits: Fatal Attraction; Never Get Smart With an Angel; Pinocchio Commedia!; The Cemetery Club; and Play On! She also designed award-winning sets for SRT’s Fences and To Kill a Mockingbird. With more than 29 years experience on stage as well as behind the scenes, she has written and produced her own work; designed, built, and painted sets; designed and run lights; designed costumes; stage-managed; and worked in a variety of ways supporting San Diego Junior Theatre, MCC Follies, Sushi Theatre, the San Diego and San Francisco Pride Festivals, Diversionary Theatre, the AIDS Walk, and the San Diego Comic Opera. |  | | Sandy Hotchkiss Gullans (Director) Tthis is Sandy's first production with Scripps Ranch Theatre and she is delighted to be here! She just completed Marvin’s Room with Vanguard Productions. Other recent roles include Joy Gresham in Shadowlands and Mama in I Remember Mama. Locally she has directed several productions at various places, including Westminster Theatre, Actors Alliance Festival and 6th grade productions at Frances Parker School. Sandy is co-founder/co-director of the 'Talent To aMuse' Theatre Company in San Diego. She is also co-founder/co-director of 'Sounds of Christmas' a Renaissance-attired caroling group in San Diego for the past nine years. As co-founder/co-director of the Wisconsin Theatre for Children, Inc. she wrote, produced, directed and performed original musical productions, touring Wisconsin and St. Paul, MN. for eight years. She is currently doing audio books for Wolcott & Sheridan in Los Angeles, www.wsapl.com, (now being heard on XM Satellite Radio) as well as other local projects. |  | Dan Greenbush (Musical Director and Accompanist) A classically trained pianist, Dan Greenbush was on the Music Faculty of SDSU for 18 years. He taught piano, served as staff accompanist, coached singers, and was Music Director for the Opera Theatre program. His numerous theatre credits include work with the San Diego Repertory Theatre, Theatre in Old Town (Forever Plaid), the Old Globe, Starlight CLO, Moonlight Theatre, the AVO Theatre, Sledgehammer Theatre, Lamplighters, and Patio Playhouse, among others.
