(Director) is a playwright, director and actor, and from 2006-2009 served as SRT’s Executive Director. He has won numerous playwriting awards including the prestigious Ashland New Play Festival, The Thomas Award at The Theatre Oxford Competition, and most recently The Fusion Theatre Bosser Award. Fusion Theatre, New Mexico’s only Equity theater is sponsoring Jim’s play, Amy’s Wish, in this year’s Samuel French competition in NYC. His plays have been produced from coast to coast, including Maternal Spirits, which opened our 2004 season. Also at SRT, Jim directed Greetings in 2004, Scapino in 2005, and The Shadow Box in 2009. He also played Marley in Inspecting Carol and has designed several of our sets including The Lion in Winter. Jim is a member of the Dramatists Guild and the Actors Alliance of San Diego.

(Miss Whittington) is happy to return to SRT, having appeared as Sharon Lake in Play It Again, Sam. Other favorite roles include Corie in Barefoot in the Park, Chelsea in On Golden Pond, and Rita in Prelude to a Kiss. (Arnold Crouch) was last seen at SRT in the acclaimed production of Scapino. In Not Now, Darling, he is recreating the role he has previously performed for Lamplighters. Some of his favorite roles, in addition to NND, include Neville’s Island and The Foreigner (OnStage Playhouse); Between Men, (Actor’s Alliance); Picnic (PowPac); Eat Your Heart Out (Lamplighters); and two musicals She Loves Me and Company. Mark has also directed several plays including Murder Among Friends and Barefoot in the Park (PowPAC) and Towards Zero and 45 Seconds from Broadway at Lamplighters. Mark is a member of the Actors Alliance of San Diego.

(Mr Frencham) is appearing in his fourth role at SRT. Audiences may remember him as Gustave Kumer in The Deadly Game, and as Johnnie in Bermuda Avenue Triangle for both of which he won Aubrey Awards. Dave has acted in over 100 productions in California and has directed over 50, including four productions of The Fantasticks, his favorite musical, one of which was at SRT.

(Co-producer) Not Now, Darling is apropos for Martin’s first venture into theater production. He has been a supernumerary (opera-speak for ‘extra’) with San Diego Opera since 2008, particularly enjoying his role as the Act III drunk in this season’s La Boheme. Martin earned his MBA in London and works as a financial operations analyst for a British company. He is pleased to be working with Scripps Ranch Theatre and would like to thank Fran and SRT for this wonderful opportunity.
(Costume Design) is glad to be back at Scripps Ranch Theatre. She recently produced and assisted with costumes for Into the Woods at OnStage Playhouse in Chula Vista, where she also currently serves as Artistic Director. Teri has costumed over 25 shows, including Ravenscroft and Perfect Wedding here at SRT. Audiences may recognize her for her SRT on-stage appearances in How to Succeed... (Miss Jones), Ravenscroft (Dolly) and Rumors (Chris). Her costuming work can also be seen in Dog Sees God for InnerMission Productions at Diversionary Theatre (June 4 - 27).
(Sound Design) A San Diego resident for 11 years, Steve has worked at several local theaters for the last three years, including Coronado Playhouse’s Inherit the Wind (Actor), As You Like It (Actor, Sound Designer), Black Coffee (Actor, Sound Designer) and Blithe Spirit (Sound Designer/Technical Director); OnStage Playhouse’s After-Play (Director); SRT’s Chapter Two (Sound Design). Most recently Steve directed Fuddy Meers at PowPAC.
(Co-producer) has been active in many aspects of the San Diego theater community, and is probably best known for her past involvement with Coronado Playhouse. She has worked in a variety of capacities, including producing, directing, stage managing, and acting, and this is her third co-producing role with SRT, including last season’s Chapter Two. Fran has covered a range from producing a world premier at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla to directing and producing murder mysteries at Dave and Buster’s. She has recently been on stage as a supernumerary with San Diego Opera, and will be spending her summer again in Rome as an associate producer with the English Theatre of Rome.
(Props Master) This show marks the eighth production for Roger at SRT, making sets or backstage working on properties. Ever since The Cemetery Club many years ago, he has been honing his skills to the level required for this exciting production. During this show he is living the Props Master Creed: “ We get ‘em, we set ’em, and when they get broken, we replace ’em!” We hope you enjoy the unusual hand props which are used in this show, especially the champagne bottles and 10-pound notes.
(Scenic Design) At SRT, designs include Over the River and Through the Woods, Chapter Two, and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. San Diego credits include designs for Cygnet Theatre, Compass Theatre, Vantage Theatre, Joan Croc Center for the Performing Arts, San Diego State University, Point Loma Nazarene University, OnStage Playhouse, PowPAC and others. He was recently the assistant designer for two productions at South Coast Repertory Theatre in Costa Mesa, CA. Brian holds a Master of Theatre Studies from Southern Oregon University, and is an MFA candidate in scenic design at SDSU.
