Scripps Ranch Theatre Presents Return Engagements by Bernard Slade, running April 29 through May 29, 2005

Return Engagements is a marriage of high energy to wit and sarcasm. The actors dance in and out of bed with the greatest of ease until the audience isn't sure who will end up with whom. Return Engagements consists of a series of hilarious and occasionally poignant vignettes set in a guesthouse in Canada where four separate couples meet, intertwine and try to figure out their relationships. Everything is connected in Return Engagements and we find out just how connected they are amid a series of great one-liners and farcical situations.

“Return Engagements” is directed by John Simonds, produced by Gordon Bergholtz and features Molly Lovell as "Daisy", Ed Hollingsworth as "Oliver", E. Duane Weekly as "Joe", Cristyn Chandler as "Dawn",  Jerry Young as "Henry" and Annie Katica as "Miranda".

“Return Engagements” also spotlights Scripps Ranch favorite Frank Remiatte as the neurotic bellhop, "Raymond" and Jill Drexler as "Fern", a psychiatrist. Jill Drexler, long time member of the Scripps Ranch Theatre family, this year received the Patte award, for outstanding achievement in theatre from Pat Launer of KPBS, and the Craig Noel Award for "theatrical excellence" from the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle.

All performances are held in the theater on the campus of Alliant International University (formerly United States International University) at 10455 Pomerado Road in Scripps Ranch, one-half mile east of the I-15/Pomerado Road exit.

In order to accommodate our increasingly growing audience, we have added a May 21, 4:00 pm Saturday matinee on the last to last weekend of the performance.  This is in addition to our Friday and Saturday night 8pm performances and our Sunday 2pm matinees.
