Eric Bishop (Director) - Eric is the
Department Chair of the Performing Arts Department at MiraCosta
College in Oceanside and is making his directorial debut at
Scripps Ranch Theatre with “The Dining Room.” He was recognized
with a Patte’ Award for “Outstanding Direction” last year for
the MiraCosta production of “Electra.” He has also directed at
Moonlight Stage Productions, Carlsbad Play Readers, LaJolla
Stage Company, Southwest Shakespeare Conservatory, Utah State
University, and was a Residence Artist for two years at PCPA
Theaterfest in Santa Maria. Eric also serves on the Executive
Boards of Carlsbad Play Readers and the Kennedy Center/American
College Theatre Festival.

Ruth Carlson
(co-producer)—Having recently moved to San Diego from St Paul, MN, She is
thrilled to be working on The Dining Room. An avid actor in MN, some of Ruth's
favorite performances include Working: The Musical, The Seagull,
Baghdad Burning (ranked #2 on the list of top 10 shows to see at the
2006 Minneapolis Fringe Festival), and Richard III. Ruth also has
extensive experience behind the scenes in hair/makeup, assistant
directing and coaching. She thanks her family, friends, Adam and God for
helping her make it this far.
