Robert Parker:  From Inspiration To Improvisation

On Saturday, July 18th at 7:00pm, Scripps Ranch Theatre and Oceanside Theatre Company presented Robert Parker in a live show as a THANK YOU for our Donors and Sponsors.

Robert shows how he takes inspiration from sounds and rhythms in the world around to create fascinating and entertaining piano improvisations.  He performs a palate of improvisation, classical, jazz, country, standards, and pop bringing audiences on a musical journey with his piano.

On Saturday, June 20th, Scripps Ranch Theatre and Oceanside Theatre Company presented Nina Herzog, featuring Jack & Benny Lipson and Jonathan Pinson, in an online concert event!

Chanteuse Nina Herzog (The Swan Princess, Salvage) tours a century of popular song with pianist Jack Lipson, bassist Benny Lipson, and drummer Jonathan Pinson. From Berlin to Bernstein to Bergman, this quartet examines music’s perennial power to stir and unify its listeners.


Luke Monday – Callback Queen

On April 24th Scripps Ranch Theatre and Oceanside Theatre Company presented CALLBACK QUEEN, a live, online concert event.  Fresh off the Broadway national tour of The Book of Mormon, West Coast native Luke Monday proudly presents CALLBACK QUEEN. Based on his real-life experiences in show biz, CALLBACK QUEEN weaves together Monday’s hilarious audition stories with iconic songs from WickedJersey BoysMoulin Rouge, and more.

A live, online staged reading of a new play by Casey Tibbitts

On April 2nd, Scripps Ranch Theater and Oceanside Theatre Company presented an online staged reading of local playwright, Casey Tibbitts’ Quiet Cross, the story of one devout mother’s struggle to deal with her family’s very skeptical modern views. When crises arise, she finds herself forced to choose between the family she loves and the church she reveres, and to face her own painful past.
