Scripps Ranch Theatre Presents
All This and Moonlight
Show opens March 13 and runs through April 11, 2009
It’s all about an intoxicating emotion – Love – complete with
severe side effects.
Scripps Ranch Theatre is proud to present , a romantic comedy by Charles R. Johnson, directed by Charlie Riendeau, co-produced by Meghan Kaheny & Sharla Boggs-Mandere, and featuring Wyatt Ellison, Aimee Janelle Nelson, Greg Wittman, Samantha Ginn, Leah Garland and Frances Regal.
The play is a delightful romantic comedy about a photographer who cannot forget a former girlfriend. In fact, her memory haunts him and even accompanies him on his new dates, and, as we all know, ”two’s company; three’s a crowd.” A play reminiscent of the sophisticated comedies of the forties and fifties, All This and Moonlight will have you thinking back to your first true love.
“Audiences love to laugh. When they go out, they want to have a good time,” said director Charlie Riendeau. “All This and Moonlight is that good time. It is about when we were all young and we loved with abandon. Except, the hero of this play loves with so much abandon that his departed girl friend (absent, not deceased) is always still with him. With the magic of theater, she is with him in the flesh and we can't quite ever tell if she is there or if she is just a figment of Ned's imagination. It is like a dance to a Gershwin tune – because of those precious moments when we are dancing, we get refreshed, renewed and reminded of how precious that dance is, allowing us the strength to deal with a troubled world.”
“This show is a perfect evening’s entertainment for everyone who has been in love and for those who want to be in love,” said Jill Drexler, Scripps Ranch Theatre Artistic Director.
Seats for individual shows are available for $19. Students, seniors and active military seats are $17. The play is rated “PG.”
