Scripps Ranch Theatre To Hold Fund-Raiser
Sunday, June 13 at La Bastide Bistro

Scripps Ranch Theatre will hold its only fund-raiser of the year at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 13 at La Bastide Bistro, 10006 Scripps Ranch Boulevard.
 
The theme of this year’s event, “It’s Delightful. It’s Delicious. It’s Deductible,” will celebrate legendary composer Cole Porter’s Birthday, which was June 9, 1891, said Jill Drexler, Scripps Ranch Theatre artistic director.

“We chose the Cole Porter theme because his music is fun, slightly whimsical and enjoyed by theater-goers around the world,” she added.

“Ticket sales account for only a portion of the income we need to produce  first-rate theater for our friends and patrons. We rely on the generosity and support of our fans and our community to help us make up the difference, Drexler noted.

Now in its 31st year, Scripps Ranch Theatre consistently produces high quality and entertaining theater. SRT has earned a reputation as one of the finest small theaters in San Diego.

The event will include a champagne brunch, mimosas, live musical entertainment honoring Cole Porter, and a live auction.  All proceeds will benefit Scripps Ranch Theatre.

Auction items include:

1. A chauffeured tour of Napa Valley with a stay at the Meritage Resort and Spa;

2. A weekend stay in New York with a dinner, theatre tickets and airfare;

3. A tour of the Kennedy Space center, and a day of astronaut training (airfare included);

4. A culinary trip to Paris with airfare, a five night stay at the Hyatt Paris Madelaine and a workshop at Le Cordon Bleu;

5. Plus - a tennis camp for kids, a sailing yacht harbor cruise, three nights in a cabin in Sequoia National Park, a cooking class, theatre tickets, restaurant certificates, and much more.
