You have got to catch Red Herring at Scripps Ranch Theatre!

This wild and crazy spoof of the detective story told in the noir style of the 1950’s, will have you in stitches. "Red Herring" is a comedy-mystery filled with Russian spies, murder, espionage, exploding devices and, of course, three love stories.

It's 1952: America is on the verge of the H-bomb, Dwight Eisenhower is on the campaign trail, and "I Love Lucy" is on TV on Monday nights. Meanwhile, Senator Joe McCarthy's daughter just got engaged to a Soviet spy, and Boston detective Maggie Pelletier has to find out who dumped the dead guy in the Harbor

"Exceedingly funny. A genuinely human comedy about six people in search of love in a mixed-up world. A thoroughly engaging piece of theatre." - The Philadelphia Inquirer

Other reviews have described it as " A knock-out-  -- a surprising, clever comedy that keeps you laughing and even thinking all the way."
